Finished reading Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code.
At first, I did not want to read this book because I thought it was just a best-selling novel, and it was not until a friend told me what the book claims. Then that spurred my interest. I would like to find out what a book would have to say about Jesus being married to Mary Magdelene. And for once, it was really painful for me to finish reading the book. Don't get me wrong, it was not as much of emotional pain as it was of physical pain. It was the longest that I had to stand while reading this book in MPH at CityLink as it was not much of the shop's custom for the readers to sit around to read. So I had to stand for the duration that I was there to read the book. And this was all because I did not want to spend money to buy the book. Because it won't be worth a single cent, if you ask me. A book that says so controversially about Jesus and His claim to be the Son of God, would I buy such a book? So, I spent day one in Kinokuniya, read about 70 odd pages.. then day two painfully at MPH, and finally day three at Kino again, but since they close shop rather early at 930pm, so I had to shop-hop to Borders. Good thing it was a Friday, and they open until 12 midnight. And was the book worth so much effort? Yes, definitely. Otherwise, I would sleep uneasy not knowing what the book is about. So, what is the outcome after reading this book? Well, I was rather perplexed at the beginning, and doubted my faith here and there. Thank God for friends who can help me clear the fog. So finally I can rest on a scientific faith that says, if Jesus is not God, let one person come and prove to me. Unless you can falsify this truth in my life, I shall still believe in it. posted by lil piggie at 11:42 PM
